What are migrations?

Laravel is an open-source PHP web framework which follows the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectural pattern. If you don’t know what MVC architecture is, then please read about it from here first.

According to Laravel docs, migrations are like version control for your database, which helps you to create, modify and share you application’s database schema.
